I think the gimmick of collecting three foods before choosing to attack or try and get to your goal of three eggs works well, although there is some element of luck regarding the direction enemies choose to take. Some of the music, especially in the first zone, is not super great, but goddamn, the sprite work is fantastic! You really captured the old school arcade cabinet aesthetic
I only got to level 3, but I might try to beat it sometime

Yeah, the music is not great, and I’m planning an overhaul with the soundtrack after making the demo of the game’s sequel. There needs to be legit chiptunes in this game, not imitations of such!
The enemies don’t exactly follow the more advanced Pac-Man ghosts A.I and are rather random like you said; however, a bit of a tip, most enemies will more likely climb down a level when you’re below them and climb up when you’re above. Not all enemies do this and on rare chances, enemies might betray this rule, but it’s something that can help you out. Also, once an enemy, with the exception with the boss of Level 6, reaches a level, it will always be facing you first. Best tip: be sure to keep enemies below the playing field by firing rolling eggs as close to them as possible whilst laying the dormant eggs at the highest possible point.

Had a great time playing, although I'll forever be haunted that my misshapened brain can't comprehend how to get the secret achievement ._.
